The flow of energy in an ecosystem decreases when it moves ahead in a food chain.... Example can be taken as...... Assume the food chain of grass, deer and lion..... The grass takes a small amount of energy from the sun and environment.... When the deer eat that grass, it gets 5 to 10% of the energy that the plant took from the environment.... When the lion eats the deer, it gets the 5 to 10% energy of the deer.... Hence the energy decreases in an ecosystem.....
