Flowers of One Garden
"Use these crayons to colour the
drawing," shouted Jyoti as she gave
Jaspreet her crayon box.
"I think those flowers that you have
coloured are beautiful!" She exclaimed with
glee. "Look at that rose, and that sunflower!"
she continued.
"Will you please let me add some
shading effect to that drawing?" pleaded
John, who was waiting for his turn to
contribute to this team effort. "Which of
these colours would you use for shading?"
asked Jyoti
. "Aha! Now doesn't this bunch of petunias look real?" he
added. This was the scene at the inter-class poster making contest
being organised on World Environment Day.
"Oops! The time is almost up and we have not yet given our
poster a title!" warned Jawahar as he collected his crayons, pencils
and other materials lying strewn around that table.
"Which title would be suitable?" asked John. "Flowers of One
Garden would be a good name!" suggested Zafar, the fifth member of
our team. “Do you know whose team would be the winner?” asked
Jaspreet. "Obviously ours," said everybody together.
Even God will be pleased looking at our team spirit!" agreed
Jaspreet as the others nodded in unison.
