Because electronegativity of fluorine is more than that of Iodine.

anshu1617as: in fluroalkane unpaired electron are more than iodoalkane unpaired electron so dipole moment is more in fluroalkane and the formula for dipole moment is root of n(n+2) where n is number of unpaired electron
