length of microscope is 15cm

given,

focal length of objective, f_o = 1cm

focal length of eyelens, f_e = 5cm

magnifying paper of microscope, m = 45

For human eye , D = 25cm

let length of microscope tube is L.

now using formula,

m = (L - f_o - f_e) × D/f_o × f_e

⇒45 = (L - 1 - 5) × 25/(1 × 5)

⇒9 = (L - 6) × 5/5

⇒9 = L - 6

⇒L = 15cm
