The question is wrong. It should be like this :

Factorise : x³ + 13x² + 32x + 20

Answer:

(x + 1)(x + 2)(x + 10)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : p(x) = x³ + 13x² + 32x + 20

Using hit and trial method

Putting x = - 1, we get

→ p(- 1) = (- 1)³ + 13(- 1)² + 32(- 1) + 20

= - 1 + 13 - 32 + 20

= 33 - 33

= 0

Hence, (x + 1) is a factor of above polynomial.

Dividing the whole polynomial by (x + 1) to get another factor.

Division is in the attachment.

Another factor : x² + 12x + 20

Factorising the above factor by Middle Term Factorisation.

→ x² + 12x + 20

→ x² + 2x + 10x + 20

→ x(x + 2) + 10(x + 2)

→ (x + 2)(x + 10)

Therefore,

x³ + 13x² + 32x + 20 = (x + 1)(x + 2)(x + 10)
