The Deccan plateau is found in the Peninsular India. It is present in between Western Ghats and Eastern Ghats. T

he Ghats in the either sides of the plateau are highlands and the Deccan plateau in the middle is lowland.

The river Krishna is originated from Mahabaleshwar in Maharashtra and the river Godavari is originated from Bhamagiri Mountain in Maharashtra where both the origination spot is found in Western Ghats.

Both the rivers originate in west side and flow towards east and reaches Bay of Bengal.

These two rivers flow in east direction because the Indian peninsular is slightly titled in east direction which eventually tilts the Deccan plateau.

Both the rivers are present in the north side of this plateau.
