Answer:

answer is (d) (iv)

Explanation:

As we know that buses are made up of metals from outside and hence when the lighting strikes the bus it would have no effect on inside , and it does not matter what lighting does to the outside part of the bus, but for extra knowledge the real reason is lighting is a static electricity and it is different from the electricity in our home and as far as I am concerned lighting has no effect on inside of a hollow closed conductor but has effect outside and hence car is a hollow conductor and closed too , so it would have no effect.

Hope it will help you :)

(d) (iv) is incorrect.

  • During the occurence of lightining, bus or car are safe place to take shelter. These are made of metal body are hence electric field inside them is zero. These act as Faraday cage.
  • Lightining finds path of least resistance to reach the ground and other mentioned options provide these. This makes them unsuitable for potential shelter during the phenomenon of lightning.
