Following diagram shows a Pitcher plant. They trap the insects, kills them and secretes digestive juices to digest them. Although they perform photosynthesis then what do they obtain by eating insects

Your Answer is:-Pitcher plant have the presence of chlorophyll in them hence they can make food by own but they cannot absorb required nitrogen from the environment so they eat insects and obtain nitrogen from them for further purposes like photosynthesis, reproduction and growth etc.
