Following forces start acting on a particle at rest at
the origin of the co-ordinate system simultaneously:
F1 = 4i – 5j + 5k, F2=5i +8j + 6k
F3 = -3i +4j –7k F4= 2i– 3j – 2k

Answer:

The particle will move along YZ plane along the direction of net force

Explanation:

As we know that there are four forces on the particle acting simultaneously

so we have

\vec F_1 = -4\hat i - 5\hat j + 5\hat k

\vec F_2 = 5\hat i + 8\hat j + 6\hat k

\vec F_3 = -3\hat i + 4\hat j - 7\hat k

\vec F_4 = 2\hat i - 3\hat j - 2\hat k

Now net force due to superposition of all forces

\vec F = \vec F_1 + \vec F_2 + \vec F_3 + \vec F_4

\vec F = 0\hat i + 4\hat j + 2\hat k

now we know that net force due to all is along YZ direction

So the direction of motion is along YZ Plane
