Abscisic is a hormone that inhibits the growth in plants.

This hormone promotes leaves to detach from tree parts, induces dormany in seeds and buds and prevents germination.

It further regulates the opening and  closing of the stomata and inhibits plant development processes.

It helps the plant to react to stress that comes from the environment around it.
