2x2- 5x = -3

(Dividing both side by the coefficient of x2)

X2 – 5/2x=-3/2 (1/2 coefficient of x) 2

X2- 5/2x + 25/16 = -3/2 + 25/16

(X – 5/4)2 = 1/16

X - 5/4 = + 1/16

X – 5/4 = +1/4

X =5/4 + 1/4

4 X =5 + 1



x = 5-1

4

= 1

x = 5+1

4

=3/2
