Tomato juice contain week acids. that's why it's ph is 4. it is acidic in nature as it's ph is less than 7. on the other hand, milk of magnesia or MgOH Or magnesium hydroxide is a mild base which is used to cure acidity in our stomach. It's ph is more than 7 therefore, it is basic in nature. taking about ions, acids release H+ or Hydronium ions in water and bases give OH- or hydroxide in water. so, concentration of Hydronium ions is more or found in base.
