Food resource is divided into five types:

- Vitamins
- Minerals
Carbohydrates: Carbohydrates is named so as it consists of chemical elements such as carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. It also contains nutrients like starch and sugar. It is considered a basic food group. Carbohydrates are converted to glucose during the process of digestion. This glucose will provide energy to every cell of the organism.
Proteins: Protein is required for a human to increase his metabolism and strength. It could be the reason why bodybuilders are consuming eggs, milk, etc to maintain their strength. It also acts as an energy provider sometimes. If protein is not consumed, then our immunity will be affected.
