Public Distribution (PDS) is a scheme by the government to increase the food security of the poor in India. The farmers who produce rice, wheat, and other foodgrain can sell their crop at a Minimum Support Price (MSP) and the foodgrains travel to the ration shops in many villages in India and they are sold for very low prices over there according to the ration cards the citizens hold.
