food some times enters in the wind pipe cocking .give reason

when we engulfs food the wind slap closes and at the same time takes breathe the wind slap opens for the air to go inside lungs.
by this the food falls into the wind pipe thus causing the wind pipe cocking. That is why we starts coughing.
