Football is kicked vertically upward with the velocity of 29.4 metre per second what will be its velocity after 1 second?

Initial Velocity, U = 29.4 m/s

Final Velocity, V = 0

Thus height obtained by ball, S = (V^2 - U^2)/2a

Here a = g as the ball has a deceleration of g

S = 0 - (29.4)^2/2*9.8

S = 864.36/19.6

S = 44.1 m

Thus Velocity after 1 second, V1

S = V1T - 1/2aT^2

here T = 1

Thus,

44.1 = V1 - 1/2*9.8

Thus, V1 = 44.1 + 4.9

Thus V1 = 49 m/s
