for 3 hrs. fixed charge is 6.50rupees

and additional rate per hour = 2.5rupee

if we use tv for 20 hrs. in a day .
it means we use only 20 hrs. TV in 24hrs.

now , in 1 month .

no. of days = 30 (avg.)

therefore ,

in one month no. of hours TV used = 20 × 30 = 600 hrs.

now ,

cost of using TV in 600hrs. = 600/3 ( cause , 3hrs charge is 6.5)

cost = 600/3 × 6.50 = 1300 rupees.

now ,

additional cost of 1 month = 2.5 × 20 × 30 = 1500.

therefore ,

total cost of using TV in one month = additional cost + monthly cost

total cost of TV using per month = 1500 + 1300 = 2800 rupees .

hence , amount to be paid in one month is 2800 rupees .
