For a= 3 and b= 4 verify the identities ( a+ b)2 = a square +2 ab + b square and a square - b square= ( a+ b) . ( a- b).

(a + b) {}^{2}  = a {}^{2}  + 2ab + b { }^{2}  \\ (3 + 4) {}^{2}  =3 {}^{2} +2×3×4 + 4 {}^{2}  \\ 7 { }^{2}  = 9 + 24 + 16 \\ 49 = 49 \\ proved \\ </p><p>

a { }^{2}  - b {}^{2}  = (a + b)(a - b) \\ 3 {}^{2}  - 4 {}^{2}  = (3 + 4)(3 - 4) \\ 9 - 16 = 7 \times  - 1 \\  - 7 =  - 7 \\ 7 = 7 \\ hence \: proved
