a=3 and b=4

(a+b) ^2=a^2 + 2ab +b^2

(3+4) ^2=3^2+2(3) (4) +4^2

7^2=9+24+16

49=49 therefore, LHS=RHS

a^2-b^2=(a+b) (a-b)

3^2-4^2=(3+4) (3-4)

9-16=7(-1)

-7=-7

7=7

Therefore,LHS=RHS
