Explanation:

1)

1/f = 1/v - 1/u

1/50 = 1/v -(- 1/30)

1/50 -1/30 = 1/v

3-5/150 =1/v

v = -75 cm

it means it is virtual and formed inside the lens and it is enlarged.

2)

1/f = 1/v-1/u

1/50 = 1/v- (-1/80)

1/50 - 1/80 = 1/v

8-5/400 = 1/v

3/400 = 1/v

v= 400/3

v =133.34 cm

it means it is real and it is formed outside of the lens. it is enlarged image.
