Given :

Co-efficient of variance = 30%

Variance = 36

Pearson's Coefficient Of Skewness = -0.25

To Find :

The Mode Of The Distribution

Solution :

We know, co-efficient of variance = \frac{Standard Deviation}{Mean} × 100

As, Standard Deviation (S.D) = √Variance

                                       = √36

                                       = 6

Now,   co-efficient of variance = \frac{6}{Mean} × 100

or,                       30                   = \frac{600}{Mean}

or,                   Mean                  = \frac{600}{30}

∴                     Mean                  = 20

∴ Karl Pearson's coefficient of skewness = \frac{Mean - Mode}{S.D}

or,                         - 0.25                             = \frac{20 - Mode}{6}

or,                           - 1.5                              = 20 - Mode

or,                          Mode                            = 20 + 1.5

∴                           Mode                            = 21.5

∴ The Mode Of The Distribution Is 21.5
