Answer:

k.e. of the satellite=1/2*m*v^2

p.e. of satellite=-GmM/r (Formula for potential energy of a body placed near earth

or for the earth-satellite system)

Since the centrifugal force actin' on the satellite is provided by the gravitational force=

mv^2/r=GmM/r^2

v^2=GM/r

Therefore k.e.=GmM/2r

Ratio becomes=-1/2=-0.5

m-mass of satellite

M-mass of earth

r-distance of satellite from earth's centre

v velocity of satellite
