For a Swimmer inside the water in a swimming pool ,an aeroplane flying in the sky will appear lower or higher than it actually is?Give reason.​

An aeroplane in the sky appear to a person swimming in water as Farther than its actual distance and moving faster than its actual speed

For the swimmer will saw the aeroplane higher than the actual height due the following reasons:

• This is due to the the refraction of light.
• At the surface of separation between the two optical media, a light ray travelling from one optical medium to another optical medium experiences a change in direction.
• This is referred to as light refraction. Refraction happens because the speed of light changes when it travels through different media.
• When the ray of light passes from water to air the refraction will takes place.
• When light went to denser to rarer medium to goes away from the normal and the object appears far than actually is it.
• But the same case in opposite ,i.e. when the person from aeroplane saw a swimmer in the pool he will less deeper than the actually.
