Given :  a symmetrical distribution first quartile and median are respectively 20 and 24

To Find : third quartile of the distribution  

Solution:

First Quartile  Q₁ = 20

Median   (second Quartile  ) Q₂ = 24

Third Quartile  Q₃ = ?

Q₂ - Q₁  =  Q₃ - Q₂

=> 24 - 20 = Q₃ -  24

=> 4 = Q₃ -  24

=> Q₃ = 28

third quartile of the distribution is​ 28
