Answer:

Hence customer is asking for new reduced price of 14000 and the reduction is 1680.

Step-by-step explanation:

I think makes sense if the 12% is GST is on top of Marked price. Otherwise, the question does not make sense.

So Marked Price = 15680.

GST @ 12% = 15680*12/100 = 1881.6

Total price = 15680 + 1881.6 = 17561.6

Let customer is asking for reduction. and the price is x.

Hence

New price = x

GST @ 12% is = x + 12x/100

As per given question this is equal to 15680.

so x + 12x/100 = 15680

x = 15680 * 100/112 = 14000

Hence customer is asking for new reduced price of 14000 and the reduction is (15680 - 14000) 1680.

Answer:

Rs 1500

Rs 1680

Step-by-step explanation:

for a trader, marked price of a refrigerator = 15680 inclusive of Gst at the rate of 12% on the marked price. Gagan customer for this refrigerator asks the trader to reduce the marked price to such n extent that its reduced price plus gst on it is equal to marked price of the refrigerator.. Find the reduced price and required reduction

Let say marked price without GST = Rs M

12% GST = (12/100) M = 0.12M

Marked Price inclusive of GST = M + 0.12M = 1.12M

1.12 M = 15680

=> M = 15680/1.12

=> M = 14000

Marked Price without GST = Rs 14000

Let say Reduced Price = Rs x

Including GST = x + 12x/100 = 1.12x

1.12x = 14000

=> x = 14000/1.12

=> x =  Rs 12500

Price reduction with out GST = 14000 - 12500 = Rs 1500

Price reduction including GST = 15680 - 14000 = Rs 1680
