a = 5 , d = 3

nth term = 50

nth term = a + (n-1)d

a + (n-1)d = 50

5 + (n - 1)3 = 50

3n - 3 = 45

3n = 45 +3

3n = 48

n = 48/3

n = 16

Sn = n/2 { 2a + (n-1)d }

=> Sn = 16/2 { 2×5 + (16-1)3 }

=> 8 { 10 + 45 }

=> 8 × 55

=> 440

n = 16 and Sn = 440
