Answer:

For minimum deviation i=ei=e

a+δm=i+ea+δm=i+e

a+δm=2ia+δm=2i

Answer :

  • 50 will be corresponding angle of incidence

Given :

  • For an equilateral prism angle of deviation is 40⁰

To find :

  • Angle of incidence

Solution :

We know that

  • Minimum deviation = i = ei = e

↦ Minimum deviation = i = ei = e

↦ a + δm = i + ea + δm = i + e

↦ a + δm = 2ia + δm = 2i

↦ 60⁰ + 40⁰ = 2i

↦ 2i = 60⁰ + 40⁰

↦ 2i = 100

↦ i = 100/2

↦ i = 50⁰

Hence,

50 will be corresponding angle of incidence
