Answer :-
Given :-
- Initial velocity = 72 km/h = 72 × 5/18 = 20 m/s
- Final velocity = 0
- Acceleration = - 2 m/s²
To Find :-
- Time
Solution :-
We know that,
→ v = u + at
where
- v is final velocity
- u is initial velocity
- a is acceleration
- t is time taken
Here, we are given final velocity, initial velocity and acceleration. So, by simply substituting the value in formula, we can find time :-
→ 0 = 20 - 2 × t
→ 2t = 20
→ t = 20 / 2
→ t = 10
Time = 10 seconds
