Answer :-

Given :-

  • Initial velocity = 72 km/h = 72 × 5/18 = 20 m/s
  • Final velocity = 0
  • Acceleration = - 2 m/s²

To Find :-

  • Time

Solution :-

We know that,

→ v = u + at

where

  • v is final velocity
  • u is initial velocity
  • a is acceleration
  • t is time taken

Here, we are given final velocity, initial velocity and acceleration. So, by simply substituting the value in formula, we can find time :-

→ 0 = 20 - 2 × t

→ 2t = 20

→ t = 20 / 2

→ t = 10

Time = 10 seconds
