AIDs stands Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome.

Answer-:

This is caused due to a virus HIV which means Human Immunodeficiency Virus.

Structure of HIV

Envelop-GP 120, GP41, LIPID Bilayer.

Genetic material- ssRNA .

Core Part- CAPSID-P17, P24.

Envolved enzymes- Protease, Integrase etc.

Transmission of HIV

It is transmitted through sexual contact with the infection patients or persons.

• Also can be transmitted through contaminated blood.

• In the new born baby through the infected mother.

• It can be also transmitted by needles sharing of the infected patients.

Extra Information

• HIV spreads only through body fluids.

• HIV does not spreads due to more tough or physical contact.

• Incubation period of this disease is generally 5 to 10 years.

• It starting effecting to f macrophages first then T-helper cells.

• Macrophages act like HIV factory that's why treatment is not too easy means is impossible till date.

No Cure of this disease still found only Prevention is best.

(2) HIV causes Aids and interferes with to fight infections.

(3) Aids is different in structure from other retroviruses . The HIV /Aids virion is ~100 NM in diameter . It's innermost region consists of a cone shaped core that includes two copies of the (positive sense ) ssRNA genome , the enzymes reserve transcriptase , integrase and protease , some minor proteins , and the major core , protein.

(4) It is transmit by sexual contact with infected person , by transfusion of contaminated blood and blood products , by sharing infected needles and from infected mother to her child .
