if a male child is born there is no significance role of the female parent as
the female parent have two homologous sex chromosomes x and x while the male parent have two heterologous sex chromosomes x and y. So the gender of the progeny or offspring depends upon the male gamete not on the female gamete. because if the male x gamete fertilizes with the ovum then a girl child is born and if the fertilization is with y gamete the there is a boy child. so the gender depends upon whether the male gamete tranports x chromosome or y chromosome.
