To find :  the total amount of bill in both cases

Solution:

cost of services =  5000   Rs

Discount 20% = (20/100) 5000 =  Rs 1000

Price after Discount = 5000 - 1000 = Rs 4000

IGST 18%  =  (18/100)4000 = Rs 720

Price including GST = 4000 + 720 = Rs 4720

Total Amount of Bill = Rs 4720

cost of services =  12500   Rs

Discount 40% = (40/100) 12500 =  Rs 5000

Price after Discount = 12500 - 5000 = Rs 7500

IGST 18%  =  (18/100)7500 = Rs 1350

Price including GST = 7500 + 1350 = Rs 8850

Total Amount of Bill = Rs 8850
