1 The advantages are :

a) we can store more data in it more than the primary memory.

b)It stores the data permanently even the computer is switched off.

c) The primary memory is a volatile memory but secondary memory is not a volatile memory.

d) CD-ROM, DVB ,USB storage drive are the secondary memories which can store more data than a primary memory.

2.There are varieties of software because all the tasks in the computer are not same. Softwares are used for creating documents,spreadsheets,presentations,etc. All the data and work of these software is saved in separate data files and their types depends on the kind of software being used.

3. standalone computer is an individual unit of a computer system which performs functions. it connects with the clients computers with a computer network like LAN , MAN,etc and sends data and information to their clients.
