Answer:

The ratio would be 5:3

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Amount of Coloured fabric = 12 mm,

Amount of white fabric = 2 cm 20 mm (

1 cm = 10 mm)

Thus, the ratio of the amount of white fabric coloured fabric

= 20/12

* HCF(20, 12) = 4,

Thus, divide both numerator and denominator by 4,

5:3

Amount of Coloured fabric = 12 mm

Amount of white fabric = 2 cm = 20 mm ( ∵ 1 cm = 10 mm )

Thus, the ratio of the amount of white fabric to coloured fabric  \huge \tt  \green{=\frac{20}{12}}

∵ HCF(20, 12) = 4

Thus, divide both numerator and denominator by 4,

The ratio \huge \tt  \red{= \frac{20\div 4}{12\div 4} =\frac{5}{3}}
