(i) n = 4 and l = 2
n is principle quantum number and l is azimuthal quantum number.
A subshell level is designated by its principle energy level.
for n = 4 and l = 2 ,means 4d subshell .
l = 2 them, magnetic quantum number , ml = -2, -1 , 0, +1 , +2
There are five orbitals in 4d subhell e.g., xy,yz ,zx ,x²-y², z²
(ii) n = 5 and l = 3
subshell = 5f
magnetic quantum number = -3 , -2 , -1 , 0 , +1 , +2, +3
Hence, there are seven orbitals in 5f subshell.
(iii)n = 7 and l = 0
subshell = 7s
magnetic quantum number = 0
Hence, there is only one orbital.
