) For equation for M2+ 4M + 4 = 0. Find value of discriminant.​

ax² + bx + c =0

b² - 4ac -------- (1)

a= 2 , b = 4 , c = 4

from 1st equation

4² - 4×2×4

= 8- 32

= 24

\On\: comparing \:the\:above\:given\: equation\:with\:

{ax}^{2}\:+\:{bx}^{2}\:+\:c\:=\:0

we get :

a \:= \:1

 b\:=\:4

 c \:=\:4

∆\:=\:{b}^{2}\:-\:4ac

∆\:=\:{4}^{2}\:-\:4(1)(4)

∆\:=\:16\:-\:16

∆\:=\:0

so the value of discriminant = 0 .
