for growing crops we use water but for hair why we put oil ?

we are not plants to have crop and to grow it by using water.we are human beings

we use water for growing crop because crop needs water for evaporation and transportation and we use oil in our hair because the oil give moisture in hair and make shiny natural looking beautiful and no problem of hair fall so we use oil in our hair
