Rice is well known crop that is grown in paddy fields where continuous flooding happens. This can helps to yield higher amount and suppress the weeds.
At least for 7-10 days, paddy fields should remain in flooded condition. After transplanting, water level should be approx. 3 cm and then gradually increased to 5-10cm.
