  • Put some zinc granules in flat bottomed flask and add some copper(2) sulphate.
  • fix a thistle funnel using a cork on to the mouth of the flask.
  • connect the flask to a gas jar which is is over a beehive shelf through a deliver tube.
  • add dilute sulphuric acid from the thistle funnel to zinc granules in flask.
  • test gas with a burning splint of wood.
  • allow the first bubbles to escape and collect gas using upward delivery.
