For pair of linear equations such as the one given in ncert class 10 maths ch 3 about Akhila in Example 1, can we take negative values or 0 for representing them on cartesian plane? Such as if we take x to be -4 then y will be 8 but in this case x is the no. of rides she had, so no. Of rides could not be negative as its a real life situation. So my question is that what kind of values we should take for real life situations as given in example 1 so that its not an negative no. or fraction or 0. I hope u understood my problem .

take value of x as +ve coz there can be infinite answers for a linear eq
