Given :

Two sections of class X together contributed 1500 Rupees in prime minister relief fund

Amount donated by class X-A is 100 less than of class X-B

To Find :

Amount donated by each class, using graphical method

Solution :

•Let amount donated by class X-A is x rupees

& amount donated by class X-B is y rupees

•According to question ,

Two sections of class X together contributed 1500 Rupees in prime minister relief fund

so, x + y = 1500 ______(1)

•Also, Amount donated by class X-A is 100 less than of class X-B

so, y - x = 100 _______(2)

From (1)

x + y = 1500

For (x=500 , y = 1000 )

(x=1000 , y = 500) & ( x= 750,y=750)

From (2)

y - x = 100

For (x=900 , y = 1000 )

(x=400 , y = 500) & ( x= 650,y=750)

•Now, These points eill be plotted on Graph

•From graph we get to know,

Amount donated by class X-A is 650 Rupees & Amount donated by class X-B is 750 Rupees
