Maddys family consists of 5 members who's average age 3years ago was 35 years. 1 year ago a new baby was born in to his family. 3 years hence the average age of the family will be????

Total age of the family three years ago = 17 x 5 = 85 years.

Let the present age of the child be x years.

Present total age of the family = 85 + 5 x 3 + x = (100 + x) years.
