Given,

let the length be 2x

& breadth be x

=) Area of rectangular plot= l×b

=) 72m^2 = 2x × x

=) 72m^2 = 2x^2

=) x^2= 72/2

=) x^2= 36

=) x= √36

=) x= 6m

Now,

length = 2x= 2×6= 12m

breadth= x= 6m
