BY GIVEN CONDITION,

1/x+ 1/x+10 = 12,

and then cross multiply

you will get a quadratic eq.

12x^2 - 2x - 120 - 10

solve the eq to get value of x

which is equal to no. of days john took and x+12 = no. of days ganesh took !!
