To determine: The change in velocity of particle from time 0 seconds to 6 seconds from the given acceleration-time graph.

Formula Used: Change in velocity =aceleration×time

Explanation: Though we have the formula for change in velocity, we need to get data from the graph to obtain the result.

So, the change in velocity can be obtained by the finding the sum of the areas of the two triangles

ABC and CDE

Area of triangle ABC = \frac {1}{2}\times AF\times BC =  \frac {1}{2} \times 4\times 4 = 8

Area of triangle CDE = 1/2\times DE\times CE = 1/2\times (-4) \times 2 = -4

Sum of the areas = 8+(-4)=4

So change in velocity is 4 m/s
