For the AP: -3,-7,-11,.., can we find directly a30 - a20 without actually finding a30 and a20? Give reasons for your answer

ya we can find this because we know that a3-a2 is equal to a1

by the same concept a30 - a20 is equal to a10

so we can directly find a10
which is equal to -39

nandini2106: actually the concept would be that a30=a+29d and a20=a+19d.....................so when we subtract a20 from a30 we get ...............a+29d-a-19d....which is equal to 10 d
nandini2106: here d=-4..........therefore the answer would be -40 according to me
