For the equation 5x - 5y =0,
the statement 2) is correct.

5x-5y=0

5x=5y

=x=y

So here x and y can take infinite solutions.

Their values always have to equal.

So the answer will be(2)

Option 2 says that x and y represent unknown number and take more than one value each.

That's the answer.
