Answer:

position time graph enclosed

Step-by-step explanation:

For the first 10 km of a marathon, a runner averages a velocity that

has a magnitude of 15 km - For the next 15 km he averages

10 km h- while for the last 15 km he averages 5 km Construct a

position-time graph for the runner

For the first 10 km -  averages  velocity = 15 km/hr

=> Time taken = 10/15 = 2/3 hr = 40 mins

For the next 15 km he averages  10 km/hr

=> Time Taken = 15/10 = 3/2 hr = 90 mins

=> 10 + 15 = 25 km  at  40 + 90 = 130 mins

for the last 15 km he averages 5 km/hr

=>  Time Taken = 15/5 = 3 hr = 180 mins

=> 25 + 15 = 40 km at 130 + 180 = 310 min

Time (min)   Position (km)

0                  0

40                10

130               25

310               400
