Hi ,

It is given that ,

x = -4/7 , y = -3/8 , z = 16/5

i ) x × ( y × z )

= ( -4/7 ) × [ ( - 3/8 ) × ( 16/5 ) ]

= ( -4/7 ) × ( -6/5 )

= 24/35 -------( 1 )

ii ) ( x × y ) × z

= [ ( - 4/7 ) × ( -3/8 ) ] × ( 16/5 )

= ( 12/56 ) × ( 16/5 )

= ( 12 × 16 )/( 56 × 5 )

= 24/35----( 2 )

From ( 1 ) and ( 2 ) , we conclude that,

x × ( y × z ) = ( x × y ) × z

I hope this helps you.
