H2 + Cl2 → 2 HCl

1 V 1 V 2 V

Now 71g HCl is obtained from = 22.4 L of Cl2

1g HCl is obtained from =22.4/71

3.65g HCl is obtained from = 22.4 × 3.65 /71

= 1.15 L of Cl2

Hence 1.15 L of Cl2 and H2 are used for formation of HCl
