depends on the prism
if the base figure has n-line segments
then the total 2d figures are n+2
and the
shapes are
n-perfect symmetric quadrilateral (square/rectangle)
and 2-base figures
example
for triangular prism
there are 5 faces
and the base figure is triangle so
n=3
and faces are n+2=5
in which threee are lateral faces which are rectangle
and two are sides faces/base faces are triangle
